Good organisations often lose contracts and customers for one simple reason: people can’t quickly see how good they are.
A council scoring a tender and a customer visiting your website both decide fast, and they can only judge what’s in front of them. Our job is to make what you already do well easy to see.
How it started
BidCrest started in social care. We kept meeting providers who ran excellent services and knew every person they supported by name, yet kept losing tenders to organisations with better paperwork.
The cause was always the same. The people scoring a tender can only give marks for what is written down, in answer to the question asked. A provider might have a strong relief team, a clear plan for covering missed visits and regular quality checks, and still score two out of five for writing “we have relief staff and an on-call system”. We started rewriting those answers so the real evidence came through.
The same problem turned up in other sectors, so we now also write tenders for cleaning, construction and maintenance, and security companies, and grant applications for charities.
From a team to a company
The people behind BidCrest have been writing UK public sector tenders for more than seven years, and the award letters on our results page come from that work.
In October 2025 we came together as one team, sharing the work, the reviews and what we learned from every result. Over the following year the work grew. In October 2026 we registered BidCrest Digital Ltd at Companies House (company number 17519680).
We registered so we could serve our clients better. A registered company means proper contracts, clear accountability, proper invoicing, and a business you can check for yourself before you work with us. The people and the way we work have not changed.
What we’ve learned
Tenders are strict in ways that have nothing to do with how well you deliver. A missing document, an out-of-date certificate or a turnover figure that doesn’t match your accounts can end a bid before anyone reads your answers. Knowing where those traps are comes from doing it many times, for many different buyers.
So far, providers we have written for have won contracts with 40 councils, NHS bodies and other public buyers across the UK. You can see the award letters on our results page.
The digital side
We have recently started building websites and running social media and email for small businesses in any industry, and we are taking on our first clients now.
The thinking is the same as the bid work. Most small businesses need three things from their website: people should find you, trust you quickly and find it easy to get in touch.
