Before you write

Two things that make the first reply much more useful.

  • DeadlineIf there's a submission date, include it. It's the biggest single factor in whether we can take the work on, and we'd rather tell you no in an hour than in a week. Closing inside seven days? Say so in the first sentence and it goes to the top of the pile.
  • The linkFor a tender, paste the portal link or the reference number. For a website, the address of your current one. We'll have looked before we reply.
